Kunonga says Gafcon is proof of split in the Anglican church

ARCHBISHOP Nolbert Kunonga has revealed that the Global Anglican Future Conference (Gafcon) has shown support and solidarity with him and that his schism from the Church of the Province of Central Africa is the start of a long war against homosexuality by the Anglican Church.

Kunonga withdrew from the Central African province last year claiming he could not exist with all the gays and lesbians.

Kunonga claims that Gafcon, which was held at Jerusalem's Ramada Renaissance Hotel from June 22-29, was a new church formed from a split over homosexuality within the Anglican Communion.

It brought together 1,148 orthodox Anglican lay and clergy participants, including 291 bishops representing millions of conservative Anglican Christians, many of them African.

“We have been vindicated. We belong to the orthodox breakaway group,” said Kunonga.

“We were brave enough to break away from the homosexual Central Africa Church . This crisis in the Anglican Church has been simmering for a long time, long before I became bishop," he said.

Kunonga also had harsh words for the Archbishop of Canterbury.

“The liberal Archbishop Rowan Williams has misled the Anglican Communion by accepting liberal views of the Americans tolerating homosexuality.

“[Dr] Williams should resign for presiding over a communion that has split. The split was inevitable, as the dispute has been simmering over the years.”

The final statement issued at Gafcon confirmed the split in the Anglican church with many Bishops in the South declaring that they were breaking away from the Communion.

Part of the statement read: “The second fact is the declaration by provincial bodies in the Global South that they are out of communion with bishops and churches that promote this false gospel.”

The statement added: “These declarations have resulted in a realignment whereby faithful Anglican Christians have left existing territorial parishes, dioceses and provinces in certain Western churches and become members of other dioceses and provinces, all within the Anglican Communion. These actions have also led to the appointment of new Anglican bishops set over geographic areas already occupied by other Anglican bishops. A major realignment has occurred and will continue to unfold.”

Gafcon statement also criticized “the consecration of a bishop living in a homosexual relationship” dismissing it as ‘false gospel’.

• My Anglican roots go deep into the South of America where I was raised. There were more Episcopal Churches in Charleston than there were people and they seemed to have conered a market on 'truth' like no other denomination. then things changed...slowly at first then changes coming in cascades down a hill. The prayer book was changed (for the better? Not!), 'Passing of the Peace discomfited many of us, then women in the clergy, and now homosexuals in the priesthood and election to Bishopdom.
I think it all started after we kicked butt in that revolting war which led to our not wanting to be called members of the Church of England any more. So 'Episcopal jargon took over and it ain't stopped since. Don't you think it would be best if the million and a half Episcopalian separated from the 77 million Anglican? That would show em! • Kunonga is a conscious African with regards Zimbabweans' absolute right to their indigenous space.

It's a shame that it is taking alert Africans so long to recognize that they need to rid themselves of the oppressive religious rubbish of thieving and murderous invaders, colonizers and sodomizers.

No respectable African will want to be known for being a part of the Christian Churches of Sodomy and Child Sodomy!
The perversion is un-African.

Africans have been around for thousands of generations. If the homosexual perversion was healthy, normal and natural, then Africans would have evolved the deviant practice a long time ago.

However, what we find is that no indigenous African ethnic group will condone, support and promote the homosexual deviance as government policy!
Africans must flush the filthy decadence back to Europe!
