Two more governors appointed

THE two remaining governors for Midlands and Masvingo provinces were appointed late yesterday by President Robert Mugabe, according to the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda.

 

Titus Maluleke was appointed the Resident Minister and Governor for Masvingo Province while Jaison Machaya takes over in Midlands Province replacing Cephas Msipa.
These were the remaining posts after Monday’s appointment of the other eight Governors.

 

The following is the complete list of 10 Resident Ministers and Governors appointed

 

1. Chris Mushowe ─ The Manicaland

2. Fabber Chidarikire ─ Mashonaland West

3. Angeline Masuku ─ Matabeleland South

4. Aneas Chigwedere ─ Mashonaland East

5. Thokozile Mathuthu ─ Matabeleland North

6. Cain Mathema ─ Bulawayo Metropolitan Province

7. David Karimanzira ─ Harare Metropolitan Province

8. Cephas Msipa ─ Midlands Province

9. Titus Maluleke ─ Masvingo Province

10. Advocate Martin Dinha ─ Mashonaland Central Province

 

The 10 Resident Ministers and Governors will sit in The Senate together with 5 more appointments to be made by the President in due course, 60 Senators directly elected by voters and 16 chiefs that are elected by other chiefs, plus the President and Deputy President of the Senate.
