THE following documentary shows the 'forgotten war veteran' who fought in the Second World War on behalf of the British government and never got compensation. All this happened centuries after Lincoln's controversial proclamation of the end of slavery. Slavery was used to fight German imperialism in the name of democracy and peace.

A lot of it has to do with business - big business - and the methods will vary, but the motive seems to be the same: protection of the Empire, of imperialism, and of superiority.
Discover for yourself what happened to Zimbabwean and Kenyan 'soldiers' who were forcibly conscripted to fight in Burma on behalf of the British government; and were denied compensation after risking their lives.
